Anaconda Montana is a small community with an approximate population of 9,000.
The town has a mining history as the Anaconda Company has been mining since the late 1800’s. Anaconda is located in South-western Montana. Anaconda Montana is home to the famous smoke stack “The Stack” or the “Big Stack.” The East Anaconda Smelter or Old Works site is now a world class golf course. The smoke stack is now a Montana State Park.
